PRIVACY POLICY

1. In short

This website collects as little information as possible. There is no sign-up, no user account, no cookies, no visitor tracking and no advertising.

There is exactly one place where I ask for anything: the community video submission form. If you do not submit a video, none of your data reaches me.

2. Who is responsible

I run this website as a private individual. I am not required to appoint a data protection officer, and I have not appointed one.

3. What I collect when you submit a video

What you enter yourself:

the display name or nickname you want shown (you do not have to give your real name)
the link to your video (YouTube or TikTok)
which language and which book it belongs to
the fact that you ticked the two consent boxes
the time of submission

I do NOT ask for or store an e-mail address.

I do NOT upload or store any video file. Only the link is saved, and the video stays on the original platform at all times.

What the system handles technically:

Your IP address, used only to stop one computer from sending a hundred submissions a minute. The address itself is not stored: what is stored is an irreversible code derived from it, and only for up to one hour. After that it is deleted automatically.
The hosting provider’s servers keep technical logs (security, troubleshooting). I cannot edit or delete those logs.

4. Why I process it

Publishing your video on the site: on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Ticking the boxes is that consent.
Protection against spam and abuse (the IP code): on the basis of legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), so that the site stays usable.

5. How long I keep it

A submission that was never approved, or was rejected: deleted automatically after 30 days. This is not done by hand; the system does it itself.
An approved, published video: for as long as the video wall exists, or until you ask for it to be taken down.
The IP code: at most one hour.

6. Who else sees any of this

I do not pass it on, do not sell it and do not use it for marketing.

Two others are involved:

Hosting provider: Hostinger. It has technical access to data stored on the server, acting as a processor. It does not use the data for its own purposes.
YouTube / TikTok: the video stays with them throughout. The player does NOT load on its own – it loads only when you click it. Until you click, no data travels from this page to them. Once you click, their own privacy policies also apply to you.

7. Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies. It uses no Google Analytics, no other visitor tracking and no advertising code. Fonts are served from this site’s own server, not from Google.

8. Your rights

You can ask me to:

tell you what data of yours I hold,
correct it if it is wrong,
delete what you submitted,
take down a video that is already published.

You can also withdraw your consent at any time, with effect for the future.

Write to info@detectigma.com. I will answer within 30 days at the latest. You do not need to give a reason.

If you delete the video yourself on YouTube or TikTok, it also stops playing on this site.

9. If you are not satisfied

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, normally the one in the country where you live or work. The authorities of the EU and the EEA are listed here: https://www.edpb.europa.eu/about-edpb/our-members_en

This site is operated from Hungary, so the lead authority is the Hungarian data protection authority, NAIH (https://naih.hu). You may also go to court.

10. Under 16s

If you are under 16, you may only submit a video with the agreement of your parent or guardian. You confirm this when you submit. If it turns out this was not the case, I will delete the submission.

11. Changes

If I change this policy, I will update the date at the top. Significant changes will be flagged at the top of the page.
